OUR HISTORY

The story of Pentecost Preparatory School, Bubiashie is one of vision, faith, commitment, and service to God and humanity. The school traces its origin to the vision of the Church of Pentecost, Bubiashie No. 1 Assembly, which sought to establish a Christian educational institution that would provide quality early childhood education while nurturing children in biblical values and godly character.

The idea of establishing the Church of Pentecost Bubiashie No. 1 Assembly Nursery and Sunday School Building Project was conceived by the Bubiashie Local Presbytery during the tenure of Pastor Albert Amoah, who later became the General Secretary of the Church of Pentecost. At the time, he served as the Resident Pastor of the Bubiashie No. 1 Assembly.

The vision was to provide quality preschool education for children within and beyond the church community, making effective use of the church’s available land while also creating a facility that would serve the church through retreats, conferences, and other community activities, thereby generating additional income for the assembly.

Construction officially began following a sod-cutting ceremony performed by the then Regional Apostle, Apostle J. B. Archer, on 23rd January 1995, marking the beginning of a project that would impact generations of children.

The proposed facility was designed as a three-level educational complex comprising nine classrooms, offices, a storeroom, and modern washroom facilities on each floor.

The upper level was also intended to accommodate community events such as wedding receptions and other social gatherings. The ground floor was completed as the first phase of the project.

The school officially commenced academic work on 6th February 1996. The opening ceremony was led by Regional Apostle J. B. Archer, assisted by Apostle Opoku Onyinah. The institution began as Pentecost Nursery and Kindergarten, laying the foundation for what has become one of the respected Christian educational institutions in the Bubiashie community.

As the project continued to expand, another significant milestone was reached with the laying of the foundation stone.
